Let our family look after your family

Our independent family owned and run funeral home are proud to have well-mannered smartly dressed professional staff with experience of providing your family with guidance, support, care and an outstanding personal service.

The Parlour first opened its doors during December 2013 and in the short timescale of operating as a new funeral home in Chester it is fair to say that we are swiftly becoming the preferred choice for many local families.

Each funeral is as unique as the life it celebrates; emphasis is placed on providing a bespoke personal service that brings about creating a memorable passing tailored to the individual’s character and personality.

Traditional family values of trust and care are the core of our business. Dignity and respect are paramount while caring for your loved one- to put it simply ‘your loved ones will be treated like they are our own loved ones’.

Giving the best possible send-off isn’t about spending the most amount of money. We are proud representatives of the NFFD fair price funeral charter, which means that we will supply your family with our lovely products without you needing to take out a second mortgage.

Florists are on hand to work personally with you to choose the best floral tribute.

Our premises are very large and truly beautiful making it the ideal location to host the complete funeral service particularly where choosing a civil celebrant or humanist funeral service. The advantages of hosting the service at our premises are that the pace of the memorial can be slowed down. Poems, readings, songs or prayers can be shared in comfort amongst friends and family with refreshments on hand. Members of the funeral party too frail or too distraught to move on and attend the final resting place are welcome to remain with our office staff at the Parlour where they will be comforted and provided with refreshments.

We work closely with local ministers and so if desired a traditional religious service can be held within your family’s own church, crematorium chapel or other place of worship.

After the funeral service your family and guests are welcome to utilise our venue to host your Reception or Wake. Enjoy an English Afternoon Tea made with fresh sandwiches, homemade cakes and delicious scones or choose to enjoy a fully catered buffet.

You will be pleasantly surprised with our prices. There are no hidden extras. Disbursements (costs incurred by 3rd parties i.e. crematorium, minister and doctor fees) these fees are always included in the price unless clearly stated.

Free help is on hand sourcing funding to help pay for the funeral as well as providing free Probate guidance and a free Will reading service. This assistance is available anytime but recommended to be utilised during the early stages of the death to save the family money and ease stress.

The business owner has the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) qualification and specialises in Wills and Probate matters.

Warm Regards,

Janette Lever LLB
